My name is Urja Patel, I recently graduated from the University of New England and I am from Portland, Maine! I majored in Medical Biology and minored in Health, Medicine and Society and Public Health. I was also a president of the UNitEd multicultural club on campus! I am currently in the MPH program at the University of Southern Maine!
I hope to continue my studies further by attending either dental or optometry school. I chose this major because of my interest in life sciences and I enjoyed learning about the human body and its different functions. I chose UNE because I have always had an interest in science and I liked how there is a strong focus on the sciences. In my free time, I enjoy biking, shopping, buying house plants and hanging out with my friends. I believe that learning requires you to immerse yourself in the topic and being able to find what methods work best for each individual to in order to be successful!
